The Punk Group | January 13, 2012

San Francisco’s own The Punk Group kicked things off for headiners Devo. Two guys, a bass, a guitar, a recorded drum/synth track and a whole lot of awesome. Normally I’m an advocate for a diverse bill and while these guys were certainly Devo-esque, with songs like “I Want You To Get the Fuck Out of Here” and “Fat Girls on Bicylces” they were also damned entertaining!

  1. Drunk Dude from PDX

Portland misses them quite a lot. They are an easily approachable band and share a lot of the same music likes that I have. (Devo, Kraftwerk)

  2. Chris

These guys now live in SF after moving from Portland not too long ago. I saw them last year at a tiny club (El Rio?) in the Mission and spoke with one member at length. Pretty cool guys.
Looking forward to seeing more from The Punk Group in the future.
