Modest Mouse capped off local alternative radio station Live 105’s twenty-first annual summer fiesta, BFD, which offered attendees 12 hours of non-stop entertainment. With nearly 40 bands across 5 stage, there was something for everyone and the fans lined up early, hoping to catch as much of the day as possible.

The weather could not have been better and by early afternoon, the parking lot in front of the Festival Stage was packed with the sold-out crowd, clearly eager for some action as evidenced by the reaction to the particularly rowdy sets by The Orwells and Yelawolf. Heck, even Best Coast busted out an uncharacteristically heavy set but it was Twenty One Pilots that absolutely blew the place up as they wrapped things up outdoors.

With all those people came the lines and food shortages, many food trucks and stalls shuttering their doors early. But at least there was plenty of beer (kudos to the Shoreline for upgrading their beer selection) … plenty to keep the momentum going through the main stage acts which featured Atlas Genius, Cold War Kids, Panic! At The Disco, Of Monsters and Men, and headliners Modest Mouse.
